J. Choudhry/KARACHI: Managing Director of Arif Habib Commodities Ahsan Mehanti said that $15 billion worth money had been invested so far in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the country. He said that a total of $75 billion would be invested in the CPEC-related projects and infrastructure in Pakistan out of which $15 billion had already been invested here since the launching of this multi-billion dollars transnational project.

Managing Director of Arif Habib Commodities Ahsan Mehanti was optimistic of growth in business and economy of Pakistan in the years ahead because of CPEC and some other expected positive developments. He said that the stock market has recovered in recent weeks and gained more than 9000 points.
Ahsan Mehanti appreciated the 12th Corporate Ambassador Awards and said that it was essential to promote appreciation to encourage and motivate people to achieve more milestones of success in future.
Rozina Jalal Chairperson of 12th Corporate Ambassador Awards delivered the welcome address. She thanked all the guests who attended the ceremony.
She congratulated the award winners and said that it was the result of their achievements, hard work and professional capability enabled them to qualify for award and appreciation today.
Dr Zahid Hasan Ansari, Secretary Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority said that more than 500 blood banks that were providing substandard blood have been sealed in different areas in Sindh.
He said that his authority is responsible to take action against the blood banks involved in the supply of unhealthy and substandard blood just to mint money from the people.
Speaking at the 12th Corporate Ambassador Awards ceremony on Friday evening, he said that a strict action would be taken against the blood banks and other health care organizations that are violating the rules, regulations and playing with the lives of the people for their vested interested. The Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority, he said, would ensure the supply of safe blood for the safety of the patients in the province.
President/CEO Sindh Bank Tariq Ahsan said that the corporate awards program was a good initiative and it must be promoted further.
He congratulated Chief Editor Corporate Ambassador Javed Mahmood for holding a very productive and successful 12th corporate ambassador awards in Karachi on Friday (Jan 26) at Beach Luxury Hotel.
Speaking on the occasion, Irtiza H. Kazmi, chief of corporate banking of National Bank of Pakistan said that he was participating in these awards from the beginning. He said that it was a good effort to appreciate those who are doing good work. He said that the corporate sector needs to be appreciated for its good works.
Irtiza Kazmi said that the banks have huge potential of growth and the banks must focus on the facilitation of their customers at affordable cost.
Mr Nazir Ahmed Vaid, Chairman of NexSource Pakistan Limited said that awards motivate people to work with more commitment and dedication to get more success.
He said that there was a lot of potential growth in business and investment. He urged the people to work hard for their professional grooming and development of their business and organization.
Dr Murtaza Mughal, Chairman of Nazariya-e-Pakistan Center Trust, Islamabad, said that noble people work for appreciation of those who are doing good work.
He appreciated the Corporate Ambassador Awards program and said that this should be continued and expanded further to motivate people to achieve more success in their profession and fields.
He said that the exploitation of people is very common in our society and appreciation is rare for those who deserve to be promoted and supported for having more success in their life and career.
Sarim Burney, Chairman of Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International said the corporate sector should support the social welfare work in the country.
He said that the corporate companies can promote social work under the CSR programmes in Pakistan.
Irtiza Sarwar, CEO of Gresham’s Group and Ceramics Pro Automotive Protection said his company was doing innovation in automobiles in Pakistan. He said that this was a new concept and technology for innovation and protection of automobiles in the country. He also congratulated Corporate Ambassador for holding a successful awards ceremony in Karachi.
Mubasher Mir, President of Karachi Editors Club, Resident Editor of Daily Pakistan and TV Analyst also appreciated awards ceremony. He said that short and brief speech is good to deliver message effectively without boring the audience.
First three minutes are enough to convey your message, in next three minutes the speaker repeats the words and in further three minutes the audience thinks about “when this speaker will quit speech”, he said. This observation of Mubasher Mir was appreciated by all the speakers and the audience as well and most of the speakers followed it and ended their speeches in few minutes.
Background of Corporate Ambassador Awards

Senior Journalist, TV Analyst and Chief Editor of weekly Corporate Ambassador Javed Mahmood, who has to his credit more than 28 years’ experience in English Journalism, started this initiative with the aim to appreciate and acknowledge the achievements of the organizations and individuals in the society doing excellent work and to motivate others to seek excellence in their profession, career and work for well-being of the needy people.
Since 2012, more than 400 organizations and individuals, including students, have received this prestigious award. So far we have organized 11 awards programs _ eight in Karachi and three in Islamabad.
